About the Studio
Studio Shay is an immersive, pop-up portrait experience dedicated to capturing your convention highlights in stunning, premium detail. But we are on a mission that goes beyond the camera lens.
For us, celebrating this community goes hand-in-hand with supporting it. That's why giving back is built into the DNA of every event we do. A portion of every single portrait session fee is donated directly to non-profit organizations making a difference locally and nationally. Through our special booth initiatives, we work together with our clients to multiply that impact even further. The Yearbook Edition is proudly raising funds for The Trevor Project.

The "Tear & Share" Print Pack $5
Keep one, trade one!
Printed on premium center-perforated photo stock, these dual-strip prints are made to be split. Keep half for your own yearbook, and tear off the other half to swap with your con crew, cosplay partners, or new friends.

High-resolution, color-graded, and ready for your feed.
Unlock every image from your session in a private online gallery. Your gallery will stay live for 14 days for easy downloading and safekeeping.
*Watermarks protect our small studio's work while you select your favorite images. We kindly ask that you do not use AI watermark removers, filters, or other editing tools to clear watermarks from unpurchased proofs. Removing them bypasses the hard work that goes into your session and hurts our ability to keep hosting these pop-ups. Watermarks are automatically removed upon purchase.

Introducing the Hall Pass
When the line reaches ~20 minutes, we begin handing out Hall Passes.

Trade, Sign & Give Back
Remember writing inside jokes, puns, and HAGS on your friend's yearbooks growing up? We're bringing that tradition back to the con floor. We've taken the nostalgic yearbook experience and upgraded it for cosplayers and con-goers! Here's how you can take part:
- Trade Your "Tear & Share" Prints: Split your dual photo strip! Keep half for yourself and swap the other half with your cosplay group, friends, or creators you meet throughout the weekend.
- Get Signatures & Autographs: Grab a Yearbook Kit and start collecting notes, handles, and autographs from your friends, voice actors, and artists directly on your prints or photo pages.
- Leave Your Mark At the Booth: Want to be immortalized in Studio Shay history? Slap an extra print and message into our Community Booth Yearbook before you head out!
Prints with Purpose: Studio Shay proudly donates $1 from every session fee, and $1 from every print order to The Trevor Project. So while you're collecting memories with friends, you're helping make a real-world difference!

FAQ
Do I need to book ahead?
No scheduling needed! We run a walk-up system to keep things easy and flexible so you can stop by whenever it fits your day. If the line gets long, we'll use our Hall Pass system so you can explore the con while holding your place.
What kind of payments do you accept?
We accept tap, swipe, chip, and cash.
What do I get with my session?
You receive an email with a private online gallery. Two digital downloads are included with your session fee. Within your gallery, you'll have the option to upgrade to the full (digital) gallery.
How long does a session take?
Most sessions are take just a few minutes.You'll get access to your digital gallery as soon as it's uploaded.
How do I receive my digital photos?
Your gallery is delivered instantly by email. It will be up for 14 days from the final day of the event, you will receive reminder emails before the gallery is archived.
What if I'm in cosplay?
Perfect! This booth is designed for cosplayers, and creators who want clean, flattering portraits.
Can I bring friends?
We can accommodate groups of up to 3 during regular booth hours.
For larger groups, we offer a limited number of after-hours mini sessions each day starting at $150 for up to 6 people. These sessions include extra time, posing, and the full gallery. Availability is extremely limited and can be booked at the booth
Do you offer prints on the spot?
Yes. We offer our signature Tear & Share dual-strip prints right at the booth-perfect for trading with friends, taping into yearbooks, or getting autographs on the spot. Tear & Share prints are 4x6" center perforated and result in two 4x3" duplicate prints.
Looking for larger or traditional single prints?
To Keep both lines moving fast and guarantee maximum print quality, standard sizes and large-format wall art (up to size 11x14') are fulfilled through your online gallery, You'll be able to order professional lab-quality prints directly to your home after you receive your online gallery link!
What is The Yearbook Edition?
It's is a studio-quality pop-up portrait experience that brings classic school yearbook nostalgia straight to the convention floor!
Instead of a quick phone snap, The Yearbook Edition gives you a professional retro-styled portrait session, instant Tear & Share prints to trade with friends, and the tools to turn your prints into a living con autograph book. It's equal parts studio portraiture, interactive photo swapping, and giving back to the community!
Do you offer refunds?
All sales are final. If you experience an issue with your gallery or print, please speak with us at the booth and we will make it right.
Can I come back another day?
Yes. Each visit is its own session with its own session fee.
Galleries are separate for each day you participate.
Will you be at other events?
Yes! We attend several conventions throughout the year.

Do you edit the photos?
Yes. All images receive light color and exposure adjustments. Retouching is available as an add-on through your online gallery.
How much is photo retouching and what is included?
Retouching is a $15 per image add-on and includes:
Skin smoothing
Blemish removal
Flyaway cleanup
Under‑eye brightening
Color and tone refinement
Minor background cleanup
